So Colorado wants to ban the use of basically all contraception products except for condoms because a certain religious group believes that an egg, even unfertilized is a person.
So what do we have here?
Utah and Kenucky want to charge women with criminal charges for having miscarriages, Colorado wants to ban contraceptive use…when is someone going to show up on my doorstep with a shotgun to puish me for having my period cause it looks like that’s the fucking direction this is going in.

What the actual fuck? It’s like I’m living the articles that I read in my History of Sexuality in America when abortion was illegal and doctors were required to report women with suspicious miscarriages. This led to many doctors refusing to even examine any women who were having reproductive issues because if they didn’t report it, and the state found out, they could go to jail. So women suffered both from getting in trouble for abortions and dying from being unable to get medical treatment. Honestly, we should not be living the past over again.
Also, how is an unfertilized egg a person? Why are crazy religious people taken seriously, instead of told to go and live their own lives? Why do these people hate women so much?
Its hard to fathom. Because people cling to those patriarchal values, and somewhere there’s a father who was raised like that, and he’s raising his kids like that.
I know this is very frightening.
I am 43 years old, and genetically/judging by the fact that it seems to be a family trend, I can expect to live another 20 to 25 years before I kick off. I hope in that period of time that the rest of the world pulls its collective head out of its ass and quits this shite.
